Historic Preservation
Los Angeles, CA

The Laurel Place project includes the rehabilitation and remodel of the historic Weisman House and chauffeur's cottage for new use as 7 affordable senior housing units and community rooms. A new building on the site, designed by John V. Mutlow and Associates, will provide 21 additional units, and the front yard is to be dedicated as a public park. The project addresses multiple City of West Hollywood strategic plan objectives including affordable housing, maintaining the City's character through historic preservation, and expansion of City parks. The buildings were designated as a City of West Hollywood Local Cultural Resource.
