In January of 2018, after 28 years of making architecture as Tracy A. Stone Architect, our New Year’s resolution was to jump into the wide world of blogging–as a way of testing out ideas, revealing our thought processes and generally improving communication with the outside world. And then, before you know it, it is May and we are finally ready to start writing.
As we make our way through each day–building 3d models, resolving code issues, reviewing drawings, and communicating with our clients, we often run up against a recurring problem or question that cries out for more discussion.
Stay tuned as we, the Tracy A. Stone Architect team, turn our attention to such diverse topics as “Architect Speak, the Role of Historic Preservation Overlay Zones in Los Angeles, the architecture licensing exam process, storm water capture and reuse…..and many more, I’m sure. In the spirit of renowned Canadian architect Moshe Safdie, who has stated, “I have an obsession for clear and simple language,” we aim to keep this blog straightforward and jargon-free (as much as is possible for a group of architects). Feel free to let us know how we’re doing.
