How do two people who are 6′-5″ and 5′-4″ use the same mirror? They don’t.
At least not our clients living on Dahlia Drive! In the second phase of a house addition/remodel, we designed a custom feature in the master bathroom that responded to the height difference between our clients. Half of the mirror is situated to respond to a taller height, mounted about six inches higher than the other. As with much of the wood detail throughout the house, stained birch trim frames a floating mirror into a mosaic-like composition. Taking the design one step further, the mirror is installed in front of a large translucent window to bathe (pun-intended) the bathroom with plenty of natural light.
