The Tyler-Tangen Residence (The Tyler House) is a remodel of a mid-century modern home originally designed by John Lautner in 1950. The Tyler Residence remodel included replacing the original wood-framed windows with large sheets of glass in order to open the space.

What once was an open porch, is now an enclosed seating area with large glass walls that can slide back to leave the room open to the outdoors. The client and homeowner’s goal was to restore the Tyler House to what it was always meant to be, while also honoring the style of other Lautner gems. Other features added were a frameless triangular skylight, triangular bathtub, and custom triangular dining table.
