Vertical House is one of two projects being permitted in Malibu. The undulating roof line mimics the steep hillside and opens up the main living space and master suite to the view outside. The dark exterior is a contrast to its neighbor, Horizon House, which has a light exterior scheme.
For the interior, the main floor steps with the natural grade, dividing the living room from the dining area and kitchen. The raised floored creates a continuous line of sight to the ocean from any place in the house.
